Construction calculators

Quantity calculators for ordering materials: cubic yards and bags of concrete, tons of asphalt, kilograms of grout, gallons of water in a pool, and the square footage everything else is priced by. Each one shows the geometry, converts between units, adds a waste allowance and gives a realistic order quantity rather than a bare volume.

Questions about these calculators

How much waste should I add?

Five to ten percent for concrete and flooring on a prepared base, more for rough excavation or diagonal layouts. The default on each calculator is a sensible figure you can change.

Do the calculators give bags or cubic yards?

Both, plus metric. Concrete shows cubic yards, cubic metres and bags of four sizes; grout shows kilograms and bags; asphalt shows US tons and tonnes.

Are the prices current?

Prices are fields you fill in; the defaults are typical 2025–2026 US figures. Enter a local quote for an accurate cost.
