Finance calculators
Money questions with a definite answer: what a loan really costs, what a fee takes, how a portfolio grows, what an old dollar is worth today. Every calculator shows its formula, a worked example and the sources it relies on, and the ones that depend on official tables (RMD, US inflation) carry the date of the data they use. Questions about these calculators
Are these financial calculators free?
Yes, all of them, with no sign-up. They run in your browser and nothing you type is saved to an account or sent to us by email.
How accurate are the results?
The math is exact for the inputs you give: the loan formula is the one banks use, and tax and inflation tables come from the IRS and the Bureau of Labor Statistics with the data date shown on the page. Results are estimates only in the sense that your rate, fees or future returns may differ from what you enter.
Which country do they apply to?
Most work anywhere: loans, dividends, FIRE, PayPal fees in US dollars. Calculators tied to one country say so in the title, such as the US inflation and RMD calculators.
