A bra size is a band number and a cup letter, but each country writes them differently. The UK and the US share band numbers in inches, Europe uses centimeters, France adds 15 to the European band, and Australia subtracts 22 from the US one. Above a D cup the letters split too. This converter takes the size on your label and shows it in every system.
How it is converted
- Bands: US and UK bands are the same number. The EU band is the US band minus 4, in centimeters, rounded to the nearest 5: US 34 is EU 75. France and Spain add 15 (FR 90), Australia and New Zealand subtract 22 (AU 12). Japan uses the EU band.
- Cups: count the cup steps from AA. The 6th step is DD in the US and UK but E in Europe; the 7th is DDD in the US, E in the UK and F in Europe. The cup chart below lists all of them.
Example
A UK 34E is the 7th cup step on a 34 band. In the US that is 34DDD, in Europe 75F, in France 90F and in Australia 12E. If you need a looser band, the sister size 36DD (US) holds the same cup volume.
Charts and real bras

What is UK bra size in the US?
The band stays the same. Cups match up to DD; above that a UK E is a US DDD, a UK F is a US G, and a UK FF is a US H. So a UK 34E is a US 34DDD.
What is 34C bra size in the UK?
Also 34C. US and UK sizes are identical up to a DD cup.
Are EU and US bra sizes the same?
No. The EU band is in centimeters: a US 34 is an EU 75, a US 36 is an EU 80. Cup letters match up to D. After that the EU skips the double letters, so a US DD is an EU E.
What is 32A bra size in EU?
EU 70A. In France and Spain it is 85A, in Australia 10A.
What is 36C bra size in EU?
EU 80C. In France and Spain it is 95C, in Australia 14C.
Is a 36C the same as a 34D?
They are sister sizes: the cups hold the same volume, but the 36C has a band one size looser. If a 34D feels tight around the ribs, a 36C is the size to try.
